Chetan Bhagat's Five Point Someone is one book that inspired a lot of Indians to take up writing as a career. Though the book is a work of fiction, many of the events mentioned in the book are from the author's real life experience at the college. The book is basically based on the college life of 3 students who want to enjoy their life and as a result of that they end up getting poor grades in the semester exam. In the end the 3 friends struggle hard to achieve a degree without failing. One of the best books which contains love, fun and what not. Must Read!!

The story is set at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi where 3 friends Ryan, Alok and Hari study together. Ryan is a crazy guy who likes to have fun in his life, while Alok is a cry baby, but a responsible person and a bit serious type. Hari on the other hand is an extremely likely guy. T’s, but at the same time provides the much needed fun quotient which keeps the reader hooked on to the book. As the story moves on, the 3 main characters have a difficult time with the studies and Hari falls in love with one of his professors daughters. Love blooms between the professor’s daughter and Hari and in the end Hari has to decide between his love and getting his degree. In short, the book is mainly aimed at getting the attraction of the youngsters which it really succeeds in which in turn makes the book the bestseller in the country!
